Telluride skiing and snowboarding is legendary with an average of 309 inches of snow per year. From beginner to expert, you'll find vast terrain at the Telluride Ski Resort which is open from Thanksgiving until mid-April. Take the gondola out of Telluride or walk out the front door of your Mountain Town home to hit the slopes.

When skiing Telluride, bring your family as area is family friendly. There is a children's ski school for children 2-12 years old. Group lessons and privates are available. Also, there is an afternoon kids club and a nursery for infants and toddlers.
Looking for terrain parks? Telluride has one of the top terrain parks in the country. There are designated parks for beginners, intermediates and advance skiers and boarders.
Telluride is known for its hike to terrain. Take note that this terrain is advanced to expert.
- Bald Mountain – After a 20-25 minute hike, you'll access the great terrain of Bald Mountain. Its a locals favorite in the Lift 12 area.
- Black Iron Bowl – 10-30 minutes of hiking and you'll be able to ski Black Iron Bowl. As the hike travels along Prospect Ridge, you can drop in anywhere.
- Gold Hill Chutes – Access these chutes from top of Revelation Bowl or traverse across the top of Little Rose and Andy's Gold. Chute 1 is in the ski area while chutes 6-10 require back country access.
- Palmyra Peak – The resort recently gained approval for skiing Palmyra Peak. You'll find unbelievable skiing. Estimated hike time is 1-1.5 hours past Black Iron Bowl.
